Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations & Getting Started

Why should I make a reservation?

Reserving locks in your exclusive Founders Edition pricing so there are no surprises later. It's just $100 to hold your spot, and that deposit is fully refundable and applied to your final purchase price. You're not committed to anything until your system ships.

Is the $100 reservation refundable?

Yes! You can cancel any time before your system ships and receive a full refund. Your deposit also gets applied directly to your final purchase price.

What happens after I place my reservation?

Your reservation locks in your Founders Edition pricing. We'll stay in touch as your ship date gets closer. When your system is ready, you'll receive a final invoice with all payment options and information on available incentives.

Will this work with my existing solar panels?

Yes! Kora integrates with popular solar systems like Tesla, Enphase, and SunRun to help maximize your savings. And if you don't have solar yet, that's totally fine too.

When will my system ship?

We’re gearing up to deliver our first Founders Edition systems! Reservations are targeted to start shipping in November 2026!

We’ll email you ahead of time with your exact delivery window. If anything changes, we’ll let you know right away.

Is there any obligation to buy?

None at all! You can cancel any time before your system ships and receive a full refund.

How much does installation cost?

Installation isn't included in your reservation price. A licensed electrician can typically install a Kora system for $2,000 to $10,000 depending on your location and configuration. Our modular design is built to keep install times and costs as low as possible.

Who can install Kora?

Kora must be installed by a licensed electrician or qualified energy installer. All installers are required to complete Kora's online training and pass certification before installation. This is needed to access the Kora Installer App, which is used to set up and commission your system. Because Kora is a full home energy system and not just a battery, this makes sure everything is set up safely, meets code, and works exactly as designed.

Can I install it myself?

To keep you safe and your warranty intact, installation needs to be done by a licensed electrician who has completed Kora's 45-minute training course. The good news is that our plug-and-play design makes their job fast and simple!

How do I find an installer?

You're welcome to work with your own licensed electrician, or we can help connect you with one. Either way, your installer will need to complete Kora's online training before they can install and commission your system. After you reserve, we'll walk you through the process and make sure your installer has everything they need, including training access and technical support. Installation pricing is set directly by the electrician so you can compare quotes and choose what works best for you.

Where can the system be installed?

All Kora components are NEMA 4X rated, which means they're weatherproof, corrosion-resistant, and built for both outdoor and indoor installation. Garages, exterior walls, utility rooms, harsh climates: the system is built to handle it all.

Do I need solar panels to use Kora?

Nope! Kora works great with or without solar. You can start by storing energy from the grid when it's cheap and using it when rates are high. If you decide to add solar later, Kora is ready for it. It will automatically store your excess energy, power your home, and even sell energy back to the grid when prices spike.

How do I finance my purchase?

We're still finalizing our financing partners and agreements. You'll receive a final invoice before your system ships, and that's where you'll be able to explore your financing options or choose to pay in full.
